STAGE MANAGEMENT: The Theater Barn, a historic non-equity theater located in the Berkshires just over 2 hours from Boston and NYC, is celebrating its 37th Anniversary Season. The 2020 season consists of 3 plays and 3 musicals with five performances per week.  Currently seeking reliable, take charge, self-motivated, resourceful, and experienced SM familiar with two-week summer stock schedules.  Hands-on position includes but is not limited to assign and assist with scene changes, oversee and execute props, send out schedule and rehearsal and performance reports daily, oversee side work duties on show days, and oversee strike. Must be responsible, have great organizational/managerial skills, get along with actors and be able to work with an Assistant SM to meet deadlines.   Housing is provided, (private room) and the salary is set at $350 per week; must be available from June through mid- September. The 2020 season consists of 3 plays and 3 musicals.  Seeking a creative, talented, reliable, resourceful, self-motivated costumer able to work with an assistant. Must be excellent at building, sewing, have great organizational skills, be a team player and able to work with deadlines. HUGE PLUSES: An honest knowledge of period and contemporary plays, a driver’s license, some hair and wig experience, an ability to be imaginative with an extremely large in-house collection of stock. Casts tend to be small and show maintenance is required (5.5 performances per week). SOUND DESIGNER/ASSISTANT LIGHTING: The Theater Barn, a historic non-equity theater located in the Berkshires just over 2 hours from Boston and NYC, is celebrating its 37th Anniversary Season. The 2020 season consists of 3 plays and 3 musicals with six performances per week.  Currently seeking reliable, take charge, self-motivated, resourceful, and experienced sound designer with experience hanging lights and programming both sound and lights through QLab on a MacMini. Theater has an X32 Rack Digital Mixer with a 40-input, 25-Bus Digital Rack and 16 Programmable MIDAS Preamps, USB Audio Interface and iPad/iPhone Remote Control. All actors perform with a Sennheiser EW 112 G3 Wireless Lavalier Microphone. Responsibilities also include delivering mics to performers before shows, running mic checks, running lights and sound for performances and helping with minimal set painting and construction under supervision of the Scenic Designer and Master Carpenter during the week after a show opens. ASSISTANT COSTUMER/INTERN: The Theater Barn, a historic non-equity theater located in the Berkshires just over 2 hours from Boston and NYC, is celebrating its 37th Anniversary Season. Currently seeking a reliable student intern to work on the 3 musicals and be supervised by experienced costume designers and the artistic director. The best candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, resourceful, with training and/or experience in stitching, costume maintenance, running quick changes, and ability to be a flexible thinker that works well with others. This position will also include working front of house during performances when not needed backstage. This could include time ushering, selling concessions, preparing house for seating, or helping in the box-office. Must be available from July 14th through September 7th.
